Today The Duchess of Cambridge is visiting East Anglia's Children's Hospice (EACH) in Quidenham, where she will meet with families and be given a tour of the hospice. A big part of the reason for The Duchess's visit today is to be updated on the Nook Appeal which she launched back in 2014. The Nook is Norfolk's answer to transforming children's palliative care. However the appeal is in urgent need to raise £10 million for a new purpose-built hospice in Framingham Earl. Due to the increasing numbers of children with life-threatening conditions and complex health issues, the hospice has outgrown it's current site. EACH wrote: 'Since becoming Royal Patron in 2012, The Duchess of Cambridge has played a vital role in raising awareness and understanding of children’s hospice services across East Anglia and the rest of the UK.' 'She supported EACH last year by opening its shop in Holt and by attending a gala dinner at Houghton Hall, in addition to providing written messages of support on two separate occasions.' Kate is in a new skirt + jacket combo by Hobbs.

The Duchess debuted another skirt suit today—this one is by Armani. The fitted stretch jersey suit retailed for £544/$848 and is now sold out. It's a classic suit which the Duchess will no doubt get more wear out of for these types of everyday engagements. Kate carried her relatively new clutch by Etui Bags which are sold in a few high street stores such as TopShop and John Lewis. Kate's pink version is not available. For jewellery, Kate had on her Mappin & Webb necklace and earring set. The 'Empress Drop Earrings' are 18ct gold set in 0.17ct of diamonds. Her necklace is also from the 'Empress' collection and set in 0.40 carats of round brilliant-cut diamonds in 18ct white gold. She also had on her Cartier Ballon Bleu watch. On her feet were her Rupert Sanderson 'Malory' pumps again. Her navy version is still available for $675. Another very sophisticated and elegant look for Kate today. 👌🏻

The Duchess of Cambridge has arrived at the Royal Albert Hall for the Royal British Legion's annual Festival of Remembrance, honouring those who died serving their country. The Festival has been marked at the Royal Albert Hall annually since 1923 to remember all victims of war, from the two World Wars to present-day conflicts. Today, the 11th of November, is Armistice Day, also known as Veterans Day (in the US) or Remembrance Day. It marks the armistice (a truce) signed between the Allies of World War I and Germany at Compiègne, France, which took effect at eleven o'clock in the morning — the "eleventh hour of the eleventh day of the eleventh month" of 1918. The use of the red poppy on Remembrance Day is most common in Britain and Commonwealth countries such as Canada, Australia and New Zealand. They were the first flowers to grow on the battlefields after World War I, and are worn to remember those who served in the Wars. (Kate is in a new custom made coat by Catherine Walker.)

The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge are in Belgium today and tomorrow for 100th Anniversary World War I commemorations. They are meeting up with Belgium's King Philippe & Queen Mathilde for the events. 31 July 2017 marks a century since the beginning of one of the First World War's bloodiest battles, the Third Battle of Ypres — widely known as Passchendaele. This battle came infamous not only for its scale of casualties, but also for the mud. The battlefields were turned to liquid mud after what was the worst rain in 30 years. The terrible events were summed up by one of the leading poets and soldiers of WWI, Siegfried Sassoon: "I died in hell, they called it Passchendaele".

Today, The Duchess of Cambridge and other members of the Royal Family are marking Remembrance Sunday at the Cenotaph on Whitehall, London, where the National Service of Remembrance is held annually. It commemorates the contribution of British and Commonwealth military and civilian servicemen and women in both the World Wars as well as later conflicts. The Duchess is standing with Sophie, The Countess of Wessex and Princess Alexandra, The Honorable Lady Ogilvy who is one of The Queen's first cousins. For the first time, The Queen chose to forgo the laying of the wreath at the Cenotaph, and is instead watching from the Foreign Office's balcony along with Prince Philip and Camilla, The Duchess of Cornwall. The Queen has laid a wreath every year since 1945, except for six occasions — two were during her pregnancies, and the other four were when she was on overseas tours. So this is her very first time observing the ceremony from a nearby balcony. Prince Charles took over from Her Majesty's Remembrance Sunday duties by laying the wreath on behalf of the nation, along with the Duke of Edinburgh's equerry. BBC Royal correspondent Peter Hunt said the change was "another sign of the Royal Family in transition", as well as "an acknowledgment of the fact the Queen is 91." I often think events like Remembrance Day must be especially poignant for The Queen, having lived through that time period. She is the only female member of the Royal Family to have entered the armed forces and is also the only living head of state to have served in World War II. The then-Princess Elizabeth joined the Women's Auxiliary Territorial Service in 1945 where she trained as a mechanic and driver, eventually being promoted to honorary junior commander five months later. 📷Samir Hussein, Getty.

Today, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry are attending a marathon training day for team Heads Together at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. Heads Together – the campaign launched by the Royal Trio to raise awareness about mental health – is the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon Charity of the Year. With this platform, the Heads Together marathon team is able to raise funds for the support provided by the campaign’s charity partners and start millions of conversations on mental health. They have just taken part in a relay race as part of today's training session (photo on the right). Harry came first, William second and Kate third (isn't she adorable?!). The Royal Trio aren't running in the marathon due to security reasons, but they will be cheering the athletes on from the sidelines on the 23rd of April.
