Víťazi tohtoročnej súťaže 2018 Birth Becomes Her photography contest sú naozaj ohromujúci. Tento rok sa do súťaže dostalo približne 1000 fotografii a viac ako 20-tisíc ľudí sa zapojilo do hlasovania. This could not be more true for Birth Photographers. As Birth workers and also artists we need and rely on one another for support while also providing extra comfort for our families knowing that IF something is to happen and I cannot attend your birth, there are some talented, wonderful, kind and caring woman who can. Shea Michelle of @coastal_life_photos is one of those talented woman and last week I had the pleasure of being able to be there for her, when she was on her way to a 'fast moving' birth and didn't think she would make it in time. I arrived at the home of Daneille and Ryan just in time for her to be making her way into this beautiful bathroom to labour in and photographed her until the last of the light slipped away…. Shortly afterwards Shea arrived and I left quietly allowing her to take over, support and document this beautiful family in one of the most important moments of their lives ❤️ 30 minutes after I left….a beautiful baby girl arrived ❤️ Congrats to the Simpson Family, and that you so much for allowing me into your birth space ❤️ Here are a few of my favorites before I slipped away ❤️ @matraea @bcmidwives @mrs.daniellesimpson
